The legendary Brändli Bombe

The Brändli Bombe, our most famous creation, pampers your senses with a noble heart of dark ganache, which we incorporate into special marzipan and cover with a delicate couverture, reinforced with slivers of carefully roasted almonds. The Brändli Bombe is available in dark, milk or white couverture.

100 years anniversary

The Brändli Bombe was created in 1924 on the occasion of the Federal Shooting Festival in Aarau and has been winning the hearts of gourmets around the world ever since.

Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother was our most famous customer. We owe this to the Swiss Archbishop Dr Bruno Bernhard Heim from Olten. He was nuncio, or papal representative, in Great Britain from 1973 to 1985. In this role, he built up close contacts with the British royal family. On his inaugural visit, he presented Her Majesty Queen Mum with Brändli Bomben. She liked them so much that she ordered them for several years and served them to her guests with royal tea.

Historic design

The design of the packaging is also worth mentioning. It was created by Swiss graphic designer Celestino Piatti (1922-2007).
